Man Brushes His Cat With a Remotely Controlled Robot Using Kinect and Wiimotes

A software engineer used a combination of a Kinect sensor, Wii remotes and a Nao robot to remotely brush a cat. Taylor Veltrop controls the robot remotely (while standing on a treadmill) so that it walks over and brushes his cat, which is sitting in his wife's lap. The cat is curious about the approaching robot and initially seems to want to get away, but then the cat seems to enjoy the brushing. After brushing the cat, the robot sits down and waves goodbye to the cat. The cat did get hit in the head once unintentionally. Take a look:
